Partnership with 10TACLE MOBILE and First Star Software covers all platforms

OTTAWA, January 16, 2008 -- Magmic Games Inc., 10TACLE MOBILE GmbH and First Star Software, Inc. have announced a partnership whereby Magmic Games is granted the exclusive worldwide rights to develop and co-publish a mobile version of “Boulder Dash®-ROCKS!™” Under the terms of the agreement, Magmic Games and First Star Software will co-publish mobile versions of the title across all mobile platforms, including J2ME, BREW, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and iPhone.

Boulder Dash®-ROCKS!™ is a modern remake of the original cult classic “Boulder Dash®.”  The tricky puzzle and dexterity game first made its debut in the early 80s across several personal computer platforms, including Atari, Commodore 64 and DOS.  It is one of the few gaming titles to be ported from a personal computer game to an arcade game, and still enjoys a loyal fan following today.

The hit game’s principle remains: players have to collect sparkling diamonds whilst avoiding numerous traps and beating opponents to reach them, all the while watching out for falling boulders.  The game was released in November, 2007, for the Nintendo DS, with a PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) version to follow in Spring 2008.

This will be the fourth mobile game in the Boulder Dash® franchise, following the original Boulder Dash®-M.E.™; Boulder Dash®-M.E.™2 and Boulder Dash®-Tournaments for Prizes™.

“We are very pleased to be adding one of the classic brands in gaming to our product catalog,” said Nicholas Reichenbach, vice president of publishing for Magmic.  “We look forward to working with FIRST STAR SOFTWARE AND 10TACLE STUDIOS and its partners on this and future projects.”

“Working on the franchise was an exciting challenge. We are very proud that we could relive the famous brand again and are looking forward to supporting MAGMIC in their development process.”, says Alexandra Gerb, Managing Director for 10TACLE STUDIOS MOBILE

First Star Software’s president, Richard M. Spitalny commented, “We’re particularly excited about working with Magmic and 10TACLE in making Boulder Dash®-ROCKS!™ available across the broadest selection of mobile devices ever for a single Boulder Dash® title.”

Magmic Games will make versions of Boulder Dash®-ROCKS!™ available for distribution through its roster of carrier partners and will also market the product through its various direct-to-consumer portals.  The game is expected to debut in June, 2008. [back to top]

LET THE DIAMOND HUNT BEGIN
AS BOULDER DASH®-ROCKS!
HITS THE SHELVES ACROSS EUROPE TODAY

Darmstadt/Geneva/Chappaqua, November 22nd, 2007: 10TACLE STUDIOS AG, Electronic Arts inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS); and First Star Software, Inc. today announced the Europe-wide release of "Boulder Dash®-ROCKS!" for the Nintendo DS. Jointly developed by 10TACLE STUDIOS MOBILE and co-publisher First Star Software, Inc., the modern remake of this cult classic guarantees both veteran "Boulder Dash®" fans and new-found Rockford friends exciting and challenging arcade-puzzle action.

First Star Software's tricky puzzle and dexterity game first made its debut in the early 80's and continues to fascinate its large fan base making it a classic in the history of interactive entertainment. Now Boulder Dash® is back with a hot new look to take the Nintendo DS by storm this holiday. A version of the game for the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) will follow in Spring 2008. The hit game's principle remains: players have to collect sparkling diamonds whist avoiding numerous traps and beating opponents to reach them, all the while watching our for falling boulders.

The game contains four different gaming modes. In addition to the classic single-player mode, which takes players through 80 levels across four different game worlds, Boulder Dash®-ROCKS! now offers a new multi-player setting and two additional play modes. For the first time, Boulder Dash®-ROCKS! on the Nintendo DS also features "Route Race" - an all new custom designed strategic game feature which allows the player to use the Stylus to first draw a path for Rockford to exit a level, though neither Rockford nor any of the in-game elements move until after the player is ready to test the route they have recorded. While this may seem easy at first, the higher the level the more challenging it becomes for the player to envision the best strategy as he weighs up which enemies to free or which stones to move to reach the exit, while trying to predict and remember how things will shift based on the route drawn.
